The Votes Are In — Now What?

[]

Hi! If your new here, we’re Sam — the movement arm of Samsara Eco, an enviro-tech startup working to change the way we recycle plastics using enzymes.

Read more about us here.

The Australian federal election is over, and the Labour Party has won. Now comes the real work — holding them accountable.

The elected party's environmental policies

What they’re doing well:

  • Committed to net zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050.
  • Investing in renewable energy through expanding the Clean Energy Finance Corporation.

Where they fall short and can improve:

  • Amending misleading policies on the approval of new coal mines.
  • Stronger environmental laws through the establishment of a federal Environmental Protection Agency.

Even though the votes are in — we’re not powerless.

At Sam, we believe democracy doesn’t end on election day. Our voices still matter

That’s why we’ve written a ready-to-send letter you can email directly to the newly elected government — telling them the environment still matters to you

It’s simple. It’s fast. And it sends a strong message to the people in power.

Let’s remind them to KEEP THE ENVIRONMENT IN MIND.

Why does this matter to us?

We are Sam, the movement arm of enviro-tech startup Samsara Eco. Samsara was founded to change how we recycle plastic, making it a valuable resource — not useless waste.

Why? Because plastic is here, and it won’t disappear.

We believe we have a responsibility to put our mess to good use. But we can’t do this alone. We need strong policy change by the government to make infinite enzymatic recycling one of the 4 legs at the table of change.
